WACO, TEXAS (Jan. 1, 2013) -- Nashae Owens of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) posted career-highs en route to the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award for Dec. 24-30. This is the ninth award of the season.
 


Owens, a sophomore guard from Pearland, Texas, scored 25 points on 10 field goals made (both career bests) as the Saints dispatched Texas A&M International University, 83-74, at home last week. She was 5-of-5 from the free throw line and continues to lead the team in scoring with 15.7 points per game. OLLU remains unbeaten at 12-0 on the season with a 6-0 mark in the RRAC.

Owens is majoring in Psychology at OLLU.
