The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer team dominated its meeting with the Huston-Tillotson University Rams Sept. 18 at the OLLU soccer field. The win improved the women's record to 3-3-1.

The Saints women took the field right after the Saints men beat HTU 3-1. Determined to pick up where the men left off, the women dominated early, late, and everywhere in between. The Saints dominated every aspect of the match, and although the Rams only found themselves on the wrong side of a 4-0 loss, the game was never as close as the final score would suggest. The first half started with Rams' goalkeeper Pamela Carias being peppered by the tenacious Saints attack. Although Carias managed to deflect several shots wide of the net, her luck finally wore out when sophomore forward Hannah Collazo's shot deflected off the crossbar and snuck just past the goal line to give the Saints a 1-0 lead 23 minutes into the game.

Just five minutes later, Collazo was at it again, but her diving header attempt was denied by the goal frame. Not to be denied again, Collazo neatly tucked away a cross from sophomore defender Bianca Ramirez to give the Saints a 2-0 lead 35 minutes into the game. Three minutes later, Ramirez did the work herself as she beat Carias for the Saints third goal of the half.

The second half proved to be no friendlier to the lady Rams. The Rams were once again dominated from beginning to end by the Saints. Sophomore forward Tabytha Horseman scored the Saints final goal in the 68th minute to seal the game for OLLU.

For the game, the Saints outshot Huston-Tillotson 26-0.

Despite playing less than 40 minutes during the game, Collazo finished with five shots and two goals, while Ramirez finished the game with four shots, one goal, and one assist. Freshman forward Jessica Molina finished the game with six shots. Freshman forward Amanda Lozano managed three shots. Eight other Saints finished the game with one shot each.
