NORMAN, OKLA. (June 19, 2013) – Our Lady of the Lake University's Aaron Flores has been selected to the PING All-America Team for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced today.
Flores, along with Nathan Anderson, Texas Wesleyan University; Adam Loran, CSU San Marcos; Anthony Marchesani, Oklahoma City University; James Marchesani, Oklahoma City University; Michael Palmer, Oklahoma City University; Thane Ringler, The Master's College; Sondre Ronold, Oklahoma City University; Mike Slavin, Grand View University; Julian Taylor, William Woods University; and Alastair Tidcombe, University of the Cumberlands, comprise the first team.
PING All-America selections for the NAIA are made by the GCAA. The PING American College Golf Guide, online and interactive with Golfstat, is the official scoring program for college golf.
Flores, a senior native of San Antonio, was also selected to the NAIA Men's Golf All-American Team, as well as the NAIA All-Tournament Team and the PING NAIA All-Region Team, Central Region, this past season.
Flores was a PING third-team selectee for both his junior and freshman year. During his sophomore year, he was selected to the PING second-team.
The NAIA Champions of Character program aims to instill five core values in NAIA athletes, coaches: respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship.
