SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 10, 2014) -- Our Lady of the Lake University's Bernardo Pegas has been selected as conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the dates Feb. 3-9, 2014.

Pegas, a freshman from Bagé, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, won both of his singles matches during weekend competition. On Saturday, Pegas defeated Alex Buenos from St. Edward's University by the score of 4-6/7-5/10-8. On Sunday, Pegas beat Stephen Rogers from Schreiner University by the score of 6-1/6-1. Pegas along with Rodney Pineros beat Josh Ramirez and Christian Casillas from Schreiner 8-4. The only loss for Pegas this weekend was his doubles match with Matt Ellis against St. Edward's University's Max Agoglia and Buenos. The two lost 4-8.
