The Our Lady of the Lake University Saints women's basketball team fell to Jarvis Christian College on Monday 71-65 in Hawkins, Texas. The Saints dropped to 10-13 and 6-7 in conference, while Jarvis improved to 11-12 and 8-5 in conference.
Kenisha McDade was OLLU's top scorer with 14 points, while Vernessa Roberts contributed seven rebounds. The Saints shot 24 of 68 field goals (.353), eight of 18 3-pointers (.444) and nine of 13 free throws (.692). Others posting double-digit scores were Roberts with 13, Alisha Crump with 12 and Krystal Manning with 10. High scorer for Jarvis was Rameitha Buford, who finished with 18 points.
The Saints will play at home on Thursday against Huston-Tillotson University. The last time the two teams met, the Saints won 84-77.
