SAN ANTONIO (March 17, 2014) – Bernardo Pegas (FR, Bage, RS, Brazil) from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) has been selected as Men's Tennis Player of the Week for March 9-16. This is Pegas' second Player of the Week honors this season.

Head Coach Sal Castillo said, "Bernardo Pegas is the only player to go undefeated in singles winning all five of his matches. He showed a great deal of focus and determination."

Pegas and his team participated in the spring break Mesa Tennis Classic in Arizona last week. Against Glendale Community College, Pegas won his singles match 6-0/6-0 and paired with Jacob Galaviz  in doubles, they won 8-1.

In the match against Mesa Community College, Pegas won 5-6/6-3/10-4 and with Jacob Galaviz, they lost their doubles match 2-8.

Against Arizona Christian University Pegas won 6-2/6-4 and paired with Rodney Pineros, they won their doubles match 8-1.

In the match against Hastings, Pegas won 6-3/6-4 and paired with Matt Ellis, they won 8-4.
