The Saints softball team won four games at home this weekend. In the conference doubleheader on Saturday, the Saints beat Langston University 24-0 and 8-0. In Sunday's conference doubleheader, the Saints beat Bacone College 4-3 and 4-2. The team is now 8-2 overall and 6-0 in conference. OLLU sits at no. 1 in conference, with the University of the Southwest a distant second with a 4-2 record, and Bacone in third with a 2-2 record.
Freshman pitcher Dawn Villegas got the win in the first of Saturday's doubleheader. She pitched all five innings, striking out six and walking one.
 
Ashley Elizalde led the team in RBIs with six, including a grand-slam homerun. Kaitlyn Bourg, Tiffany Stritz, Brook Hernandez and Samantha Guerrero each had a double.
 
During the second of Saturday's doubleheader, sophomore pitcher Melanie Gonzalez was credited with the win for the Saints. She pitched five innings, striking out nine and walking two.
 
Elizalde and Corina Noel each got a double, and Noel led the team in RBIs with three.
 
In Sunday's first game, Stritz earned the win for the Saints, and Dawn Villegas was credited with the save. Maria Flores and Guerrero hit home runs, and Elizalde led the team in RBIs with two.
 
In the second game, Kailyn Miller got the win for the Saints. She pitched seven innings, striking out six. Bourg got a double and led the team in RBIs with two. Hernandez hit a home run.
 
The Saints will host Northwood University in conference play on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
