Amanda Bonds talks to the students from Meadow Valley.
Mon, Mar 1, 2010 - [Women's Soccer] - by Patricia Constantin
Amanda Bonds and Lauren Schultz from the women's soccer team participated in a TAKS Pep Rally at Meadow Valley Elementary School in the Northside Independent School District last Friday.
School counselor Carlos Garza, who is also an adjunct professor in OLLU's Education Department, invited the student-athletes to speak to the children on their success stories about getting into college and playing sports.

According to Garza, the visit was a great hit. "You can't imagine what an impact you and your students made on our kids. I heard them tell me in the hallway how they want to be like them."

Others participating included Esteban Rocha, Alain Vallejo and Danny Medina from the men's soccer team.
