KERRVILLE, TEXAS (May 4, 2015) – Our Lady of the Lake University's Christopher Schriedel has qualified for the 106th Texas Amateur Championship after shooting 70 in the Qualifier at The Club at Comanche Trace – Hills/Creeks Course on Sunday.
Schreidel is one of six to qualify for the Texas Amateur Championship from the Qualifier at Club at Comanche.
Head Coach Alan E. Baxter said, "The Texas Amateur is a very prestigious and difficult event to qualify for. Chris beat a lot of nationally ranked amateurs as well as other collegiate golfers. It is really big and prestigious that Chris qualified."
The Texas Amateur Championship will be played at the Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas from June 18 to 21. The competition will feature 72 holes of stroke play and will be limited to 144 players. After 36 completed holes the field will be cut to 54 players.
