Michelle Reyes defeated Valentina Puchkova in the singles match

The Saints women's tennis team hosted Bethany College from West Virginia on Saturday at the Alamo Heights Tennis Center in San Antonio.
The Saints won two of five matches against the Bison. Michelle Reyes (OLLU) defeated Valentina Puchkova , 6-7/6-3/10-5 and Jessica Perez (OLLU) defeated Monica Chapman 6-3/6-2 in the two wins for the Saints.
In other singles competition, Audrey Alba lost to Nyska Etienne, 7-6/3-6/8-10; Monserrat Sierra (OLLU) lost to Olivia Fabrizius, 6-1/6-2; Liz Holguin (OLLU) lost to Katelin Clawson, 6-3/6-1.
In doubles competition, Alba/Thea Lonewolf lost to Stacie Schoon/Etienne, 8-2; Reyes/Perez (OLLU) lost to Fabrizius/Clawson, 8-5; and Sierra/Holguin (OLLU) lost to Puchkova/Kjerstyn, 8-2.
The Saints' next match will be against the University of the Incarnate Word on March 23.
