The OLLU Saints men's tennis team competed against the University of the Incarnate Word this afternoon. The Cardinals beat the Saints 9-0. The Saints dropped to 3-10-3, while the Cardinals improved to 11-3.
In doubles action, Francisco Segura/Jose Arizpe (UIW) defeated Santiago Padilla/Carlos Albuja (OLLU), 8-4; Max Moreau/Alex Wieland (OLLU) defeated Joey Olivas/Christon Salinas (OLLU), 8-2; Carlos Olvera/Aidan DeLeon (UIW) defeated Jesse Rojas/Everett Patterson (OLLU), 8-0.
In singles competition, Segura (UIW) defeated Padilla (OLLU), 6-1, 6-3; Moreau (UIW) defeated Albuja (OLLU), 6-0, 6-1; Wieland (UIW) defeated Kuda Segai (OLLU), 6-1, 6-0; Olvera (UIW) defeated Olivas (OLLU), 6-0, 6-1; Pierce Brandan (UIW) defeated Salinas (OLLU), 6-2, 6-1; and Stephen Cavazos (UIW) defeated Patterson (OLLU), 6-0, 6-0.
The Saints will next face Central Christian College on March 30 at the McFarlin Tennis Center.
