The Saints women's tennis team fell to the University of the Incarnate Word this afternoon, 9-0. The Saints are now 2-11 for the season, while UIW improves to 11-4.
In doubles competition, the results are as follows: Adrianna Hernandez/Gretchen Trautmann (UIW) defeated Audrey Alba/Thea Lonewolf (OLLU), 8-3; Erica Engberg/Alex Adams (UIW) defeated Michelle Reyes/Jessica Perez (OLLU), 8-0; Stephanie Rodriguez/Karen Rodriguez (UIW) defeated Monserrat Sierra/Liz Holguin (OLLU), 8-1.
In singles, the results are as follows: Hernandez (UIW) defeated Alba (OLLU), 6-0, 6-1; S. Rodriguez (UIW) defeated Lonewolf (OLLU), 6-0, 6-3; Engberg (UIW) defeated Reyes (OLLU), 6-1, 6-1; Adams (UIW) defeated Perez (OLLU), 6-1, 6-1; K. Rodriguez (UIW) defeated Sierra (OLLU), 6-0, 6-1; Jill Simon (UIW) defeated Holguin (OLLU), 6-1, 6-0.
The Saints will next play St. Catherine University at the Alamo Heights Tennis Center in San Antonio on March 29.
