The Saints completed a six-game road trip this weekend winning five and losing one to improve their Red River Athletic Conference-leading record of 17-3 and 21-9 overall.
  
The team kicked off its road trip on March 23 in Austin against Huston-Tillotson University (HTU). Tiffany Stritz secured the 13-2 win for the Saints in the afternoon's first game of the doubleheader. She pitched five innings, striking out four and giving up four hits. Maria Flores went 3-5 with two RBIs. Ashley Elizalde went 3-4 with one RBI. The Saints scored ten runs in the first inning, adding one in the second and two in the third, while HTU got one run in the second and fourth innings.
 
In the second game of the doubleheader, Dawn Villegas tossed a complete-game, five-hit shutout for an 11-0 victory over HTU. Villegas, Tiffany Stritz and Corina Noel all went 3-4. Elizalde and Kaitlyn Bourgh had two RBIs each.
 
On Saturday, the Saints were in Langston, Okla., to play Langston University. Melanie Gonzalez pitched a five-inning shutout in the Saints' 18-0 win. She gave up seven hits and struck out three in 21 at bats. Bianca Salinas hit two over the fence, and went 3-4 with four RBIs. Noel went 3-5 and Alyssa Posadas went 3-4 in the game. Noel had four runs, while Tiffany Stritz and Posadas had three runs each for the Saints.
 
In the second game, Kailyn Miller threw a five-inning 25-1 win for the Saints, allowing four hits, striking out six and walking one. Salinas and Posadas each had a home run, while Villegas finished with seven RBIs and Brooke Hernandez had four RBIs. Villegas went 5-6; Noel, 4-6; Bourg, Elizalde, 4-5; and Posadas, 4-4. The Saints finished with a total of 31 hits during the game that last an hour and eight minutes.
 
The Saints faced Bacone College on Sunday and split the doubleheader. Bacone's Chrissy Hood secured the six-hitter 7-0 shutout, while Tiffany Stritz was assessed the loss for the Saints. The Saints came back in the second game to win 5-2. Villegas tossed the seven-inning game, giving up five hits and striking out seven. Villegas, Posadas and Flores had two hits each, while Bourg and Posadas both hit two home.
 

The Saints will play a nonconference doubleheader on March 30 at home against Texas Southern University. In the teams' first meeting on Feb. 16, they split a loss/win, 4-6/7-2.
