The Saints lost a doubleheader against Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) on Saturday, 3-2 and 6-0, in Fort Worth, Texas. 

TWU takes over the no. 1 spot in the conference with a 12-2 record, while the Saints drop to second place for the first time since the season began with a record of 17-5.

The two teams will face each other again this Friday at the OLLU Softball Field with a 12/2 p.m. doubleheader. The games will be dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.

In game one, TWU's Lateah Lucero put the first run on the board in the fifth inning. The Saints responded with a hit by Meagan Potts that put them on top 2-1, but in the bottom of the seventh inning, TWU's Ashleigh Jimenez's RBI double and a run by Haley Butler gave the Rams the 3-2 win. Ashley Oldham earned the win, while Tiffany Stritz took the loss.

In game two, OLLU fell behind in the first inning with a run scored by TWU's Butler. She and Tara Martinez hit home runs in the third inning to increase their lead to 3-0. The Rams scored three more runs, and ended the game with a 6-0 win. Dawn Villegas allowed four runs on nine hits, while Oldham got the win.
