The Saints men's golf team competed in the Northwood Spring Invitational Tournament in De Soto, Texas Monday and Tuesday of this week and finished in fifth place in a slate of nine teams. OLLU's final score was 955 (309/329/317).
Freshman Aaron Flores finished in a tie for fourth place for the top medalist award with scores of 72/80/79 -- 231.
Both Adam Palacios and Jacob Torres tied for 19th place with a final score of 240. Rounding out the slate for OLLU were Arnold Martinez with 245 and Larry Lopez with 258.
Southern Nazarene University's final score of 921 was enough to give them the championship trophey. Northwood University finished in second place with a score of 922, and the school's Will Eddy earned the top medalist award with a final total of 223.
Finishing in third place was Oklahoma Baptist University, fourth place -- Rogers State University, sixth place -- Bethany College, seventh place -- University of the Southwest, eighth place -- William Carrey University and ninth place -- Northwood University White Team.
