EL PASO (May 20, 2010) -- Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) announced that El Paso High School's Victoria Maese has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball at the University.

Maese will receive both academic and athletic scholarships to attend OLLU.

"I'm really excited to be able to sign and play in college," she said. "I worked very hard all four years so I can get there."

Maese was the District 1-4A MVP as well as being selected to the all-city team as a middle blocker.

She will move to outside hitter in college.

"San Antonio is close to home, and I've been there before and I like the area," Maese said. "It's also such a good school."
