SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 16, 2010) -- Our Lady of the Lake University announced the signing of two San Antonio athletes to its 2010-2011 softball team. O'Connor High School graduate Kimberlee Briseņo and Judson High School graduate Alissa Huerta will join the Saints for its second season.
Briseņo was a four-year letterman at O'Connor during her junior and senior year and was named to the All-District Second-Team. At OLLU, she plans to major in Kinesiology. Briseņo bats left-handed and throws right-handed, and played shortstop in high school.

Huerta is transferring to OLLU from St. Mary's University. During her sophomore, junior and senior year in high school, she was named to the All-District First Team. She received all-academic honors during her senior year. Huerta throws right-handed and bats left-handed, and will play for the Saints as a utility.
OLLU began competing in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in softball in 2009-2010. The Saints were picked to finish fifth out of eight teams in pre-season polls conducted by the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). The team finished its regular season one game behind top-ranked Texas Wesleyan University with an overall record of 28-14 and a conference record of 22-6.
