WACO, Texas (Aug. 23, 2010) -- Participating in its first year as an Red River Athletic Conference member, Our Lady of the Lake University claimed the conference's highest academic honor as the recipient of the 2009-10 RRAC GPA Award. OLLU's student-athletes achieved the highest GPA of any member institution across all of its sports. In addition, all student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 or better from across the conference were recognized as RRAC scholar-athletes.

The Red River Athletic Conference GPA Awards recognize the schools and student-athletes who performed the best during the 2009-10 academic year. Schools submitted the cumulative grade-point average of all student-athletes competing in RRAC-sanctioned sports for the most recent year. Individual student-athletes are recognized below for earning a 3.0 GPA or better for the year.

Since the Red River Athletic Conference does not sponsor teams in tennis, the OLLU tennis teams compete as an unaffiliated member of the NAIA. Nevertheless, the men's and women's tennis teams excelled in the classroom, as well. The men's team finished with a cumulative score of 2.97, while the women ended with a 3.316.
