SAN ANTONIO (July 20, 2017) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) volleyball team recently released its 2017 schedule. The Saints, who are looking to build upon back-to-back National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championship Tournament appearances, are set to have 33 matches this season, including 14 Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) contests and 19 nonconference matches.
Head Coach Jeremiah Tiffin, in his third season with the Saints, said," We are very excited about our schedule. We looked for ways to play quality nonconference opponents and I think we've done that. Having two top 25 teams in our home tournament and also playing D3 final four Southwestern gives our home crowd some good matches to see. Our conference is significantly stronger this season and I believe this schedule will prepare us for the conference tournament and hopefully another trip to nationals. "
OLLU will begin its 11th season on Friday, Aug. 25 by hosting the Second Annual Hotel Indigo at the Alamo Saints Classic. The tournament is scheduled to run from Aug. 25-26 with Baker University, Benedictine University at Mesa, Georgetown College, Lindsey Wilson University, University of St. Thomas, Texas Wesleyan University and Wayland Baptist University participating in the two-day tournament.
