HAWKINS, TEXAS (Feb. 3, 2018) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team defeated Jarvis Christian College (JCC) 82-60 to improve to 17-7 overall and 11-1 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC), while JCC drops to 2-18 overall and 1-10 in conference.
The Saints are 17-2 against the Bulldogs. Earlier this season, the Saints defeated JCC 83-59.
Head Coach Christopher Minner said, "We struggled shooting tonight but turned up the defense in the fourth quarter which was the key to our victory. We played really well in the fourth after playing sluggish for most of the game. It was a really physical game that took us awhile to adjust to but we took care of business this weekend. We need to continue to get better. We have two more road games coming up."

Francesca Patrick (SR/Killeen, Texas) gave the Saints their first double-digit lead in the fourth quarter at 62-52. With about three minutes left in the game, Kasey Saldana (SO/San Antonio, Texas) made a three to give the Saints the 74-55 lead. Quintianna LeShore (SR/Indianapolis, Ind.) moved the Saints to a 20-plus lead with two minutes left in the game. They took their biggest lead of 25 with 30 seconds left, and after three free throws from JCC, the Saints closed out the game with the 82-60 win.
