SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 12, 2019) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's soccer team lost a close match against the University of the Incarnate Word (1-0). The Saints are 3-3-1 on the season, while the Cardinals are 3-1.
The Saints came up short against UIW in a fiery match. The starting goalkeepers for both teams were shown a red card at different times, forcing the Saints and Cardinals to make changes in net. The lone goal for the Cardinals was the result of a red card shown to Saints goalkeeper Keelin Garrity (SO/Katy, Texas). Kas Van Eekelen capitalized on the penalty kick on what would be the deciding goal. Both teams were also shown a yellow card and each had five shots.

Leading the way for the Saints' offense was Samuel Villegas (FR/San Antonio, Texas) with three shots. Five different players led the Cardinals with one shot each.
