VICTORIA, TEXAS (Oct. 26, 2019) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's soccer team fell to the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) 1-0 on Saturday in the last regular-season game. The Saints drop to 10-5-2 on the season and end with a 6-2-1 Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) record. UHV improves to 15-0-6 on the season and end at 7-0-2 in the RRAC.
The Saints' six-game win streak was snapped today. Houston-Victoria clinches the RRAC title with the win, and OLLU finishes third. The Jaguars' lone goal was scored early in the first half at the fourth minute by Uriel Garcia with an assist from Brody Patience and Brandon Watts. The Jaguars were shown three yellow cards in three minutes. The Saints were limited to three shots on goal, and Keelin Garrity (SO/Katy, Texas) played the length of the match tallying one save. OLLU will play Texas A&M-Texarkana in the first round of the RRAC tournament at home.
