CEDAR HILL, TEXAS (Nov. 5, 2010) -- Our Lady of the Lake University's Miriam Vazquez finished fifth in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Cross-Country Championship Tournament this morning on the campus of Northwood University in Cedar Hill. Seven women's teams competed in the tournament vying for a berth to the NAIA National Championship in Vancouver, Wa.
 
Vazquez's 5K time of 21:25 placed her in fifth place overall and gives her the opportunity to advance to the national tournament. Vazquez was selected to the All-Conference team.
 
Freshman Laura Echeverria finished in 8th place overall with a 5K time of 21:57. Unfortunately, she missed qualifying for the nationals by one spot.
