SPRINGFIELD, MO. (Dec. 17, 2020) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team fell to No. 13-ranked Clarke University (CU) 74-65 at Evangel University in the first game of the 2020-2021 season. The Saints begin the year 0-1 and Clarke improves to 9-1.
Head Coach Stacy Stephens commented, "Credit goes to the Clarke coaches and team. They are a talented program and executed their game plan. I am proud of our team for fighting the whole 40 minutes. We have put up with challenges this entire semester, and I see a ton of upside with this being our first game against a very well-oiled Clarke team. With this being our first game of the season, I expected some ups and downs, but I am excited that the team was able to compete at the sport they love. This has been a trying semester, and I'm very proud of my team and how they have responded both on and off the court."
