SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 2, 2010) -- Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's tennis senior Thea Lonewolf finished in third place in the 20th Annual Green Tree Tennis Club Turkey Tourney Women's 4.5 Singles in November.
Lonewolf, a native of Anadarko, Okla., entered the tournament unseeded. In the first round of competition, she beat unseeded Monica Kestermann 6-3, 6-3. In the quarterfinals, she overpowered No. 1-seed Terilee Tatom 6-4, 6-3. No. 2- seed Joanie Bryant came out ahead in the semifinals to beat Lonewolf 6-2, 6-3.
 
The tournament is for all levels of players including adults and juniors. As a non-sanctioned competition, the tournament is not played for a ranking. The open division showcased the best players in San Antonio including collegians from UTSA, Trinity, University of the Incarnate Word and OLLU. In addition, many of San Antonio's outstanding junior players competed as well as international players from the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch Academy.
 

The tournament was held Nov. 19-21 at the club located on Callaghan Road in Northwest San Antonio.
