    SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 12, 2011) -Our Lady of the Lake University's (OLLU) Bowling Team will host the annual Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference III tournament on Saturday, Jan. 15. The Conference, governed by the United States Bowling Congress), will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bandera Super Bowl located on Huebner Road.
    Schools competing include University of Houston, Louisiana State University, Texas Tech University, West Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University, University of New Mexico, Southwestern Christian University, Sam Houston State University, North Texas State University and Our Lady of the Lake University.
    Bowling at OLLU is designated as an emerging sport under the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
    The Club Bowling Team was formed in the fall of 2009 by students Ernesto Silva and Emily Dzierski. Silva said, "we are honored to have been selected to host this tournament, and we look forward to the support of the community of San Antonio. Silva, a junior business major, is a native of Harlingen and attended Harlingen High School, while Dzierski, a senior psychology major, is from Houston and attended Clear Brook High School.
