WACO, TEXAS (MARCH 7, 2011) -- Tiffany Stritz of Our Lady of the Lake University earned recognition as the Red River Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 28-March 6.
   
Stritz, a senior pitcher from Houston, Texas, appeared in four games and collected two wins for the Lady Saints last week. She picked up two victories in a series with Northwood University including an 11-2 win in the opener and a 4-1 win to close it out. Stritz also tossed a complete game against Huston-Tillotson University but took a 2-1 loss. For the week, she posted a 1.84 ERA with 14 strikeouts and three walks for the Lady Saints who are now 5-11 overall.
 
The Pearland High School graduate also excels in the classroom as she was named a scholar athlete in 2009-2010. During the Saints inaugural season, Stritz was a member of the All-Conference Team. She is majoring in education at OLLU.
