The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer team and the team from Texas Wesleyan University were scoreless throughout most of the first half of the game in Fort Worth on Thursday. With a little less than five minutes before the end of the half, freshman Abby Dulaney scored on an assist by Lauren Schultz giving the Saints the 1-0 lead.
TWU's Samantha Greer gave the Rams the tieing goal at 70:46 on a free kick from Kayla Doherty. With 21 seconds left in regulation play, Jaimie Romaguera kicked the ball in to give the Rams their second and game-winning goal.
OLLU freshman goalkeeper Kat Kirsch, who came off a nine-goal-saving game against the University of Texas at Brownsville on Oct. 3, compiled seven saves against TWU. The Rams outshot the Saints 18-7. Sophomore Amanda Bonds and Dulaney each had two shots on goal.
OLLU's overall record is now 3-5-2, and 0-1-1 in the conference. TWU is 9-3 overall, and 3-0 in the conference.
