Two student-athletes from San Antonio have signed letters of intent to play for the 2010 women's soccer squad at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). Victoria (Tori) Vazquez is a senior at O'Connor High School and Breanna D. Estrada attends John Marshall High School. As well as playing for their high school teams, both women play for Classics Elite in the Region III Premier League.
Vazquez will be entering OLLU in the fall of 2010 and plans to major in business. The midfielder was selected to the all-state team for soccer for three years and was named best player for three years at O'Connor High School. Her parents are Ramon and Asta Vazquez. Estrada, who is a left defender, will also enter OLLU in 2010 to study biology. While at Marshall High School, she was selected to the all-district team. She is pictured with her mother, Delores Estrada and Coach Hurley.
"Players on the Premier League host only the best teams from Texas, Oklahoma, etc.," said Coach Hurley. "We look forward to adding these two talented players to our squad."
