VICTORIA, TEXAS (Sept. 21, 2011) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University men's soccer game could not find the net on Tuesday in the game against the University of Houston at Victoria (UHV). The Saints lost 1-0 to drop to 2-3-1 for the season while the Jaguars improve to 9-1.
The only goal scored was at 6:54 when UHV's Adrian Mendoza found the net on an assist from Juan Ibarra. The win is the Jaguar's eighth in a row.
OLLU goalkeeper Nick Garza recorded three saves, while UHV's goalkeeper nathan Kenyon finished with four. Yared Temesgen led the Saints in shots on goal with two. The Saints finished with seven shots compared to 11 for the Jaguars.
The men will begin their conference schedule on Thursday against Wiley College, who begins its inaugural season against the Saints. The game is set to begin at 5 p.m. at the OLLU Soccer Field.
