
MUSKOGEE, OKLA. (Sept. 28. 2011) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University men's golf team shot a 295 in the final round of the 13th Annual NSU Men's Golf Classic in Muskogee, Okla. on Tuesday and finished in fifth place. The final tally for the Saints was 284/295/295 - 874.
Central Oklahoma shot 8-under-par 276 in the final round to win the tournament with an overall 846. Arkansas-Fort Smith finished in second place with a final round of 287 and an overall 856. Third place went to Northeastern State University, who finished with a 299 last round and a 868 overall score. Dallas Baptist University ended in fourth with a final round of 292 and an overall score of 871.
The individual medalist award went to Arkansas-Fort Smith's Ethan Adamson, who shot a 3-under-par 68 final round and a 5-under-par 208 overall.
OLLU senior Jack Shores tied for fourth place with a three-round 210 (71/71/68), while freshman Dustin Blair finished in 14th place with a three-round 217 (69/73/75). Junior Aaron Flores shot a three-round 222 (70/76/76), freshman John Mulholland shot a three-round 226 (74/76/76) and sophomore Nick Chacon shot a three-round 228 (76/75/77).
The Saints leave this weekend to participate in the NAIA Men's Golf National Preview in Salem, Ore.
