ORANGE BEACH, ALA. (Dec. 5, 2011) -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 286 men's soccer student-athletes have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
 

Selected from Our Lady of the Lake University were: Gary Hamilton and Edgar Ramos.


Student-athletes from OLLU were nominated by the sports information officer. To be nominated, each must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order qualify for the honor.
 

 
Gary Hamilton is the co-captain of the men's team. He is a  senior defender from Middlesbrough, England, and resides in McAllen. Hamilton is majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry at OLLU.
Edgar Ramos is a native of Los Angeles, Calif., and resides in San Antonio. He is a junior defender majoring in Spanish at OLLU.
