The Saints women's soccer team took on the Northwood Univeristy Lady Knights on Oct. 29 in its last conference game of the year. In overtime play, the Saints lost 2-1 and dropped to fourth place in the Red River Athletic Conference, while Northwood now stats at first-place. 
 
Northwood scored the first goal on a kick by Heather Mathison from an assist by Amber Englad during the 20th minute. Freshman Hanna Collazo scored for the Saints three minutes later. The game stayed tied until two minutes before the end of the first overtime period when Northwood's Helena Melina kicked one in to give them the win in sudden death.
 
Freshman goal keeper Kat Kirsch finished with nine saves compared to four for Northwood's Ashley Ford. The Lady Knights outshot the Saints 24-9.
 
The Saints await notification on the playoff schedule, which is to begin the weekend of Nov. 6 at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth.
