Freshman Miriam Vazquez competed in the 30th Annual Women's NAIA Cross Country National Championships Saturday, thus becoming the first OLLU Saints student-athlete to ever advance to the nationals.
 
Vazquez finished in 304th place. Coach Stephen Sherman said, "It was real muddy and cold…I am proud of her, though, and she represented the university well. It truly was an achievement in itself being here."
