2010 Soccer Signings (Women)
Emily Backus
She comes to OLLU from League City, Texas. She plays her high school soccer for Clear Creek High School and club soccer for Challenge Soccer Club's 92 Red South Team. She has been an outstanding keeper for both teams and has been the starting goalkeeper for all of her four years at Clear Creek High School. Academically, Backus maintains a 4.0 GPA and is valedictorian at her high school. She is a nominee for the Providence Scholarship at OLLU. She will play goalkeeper for the OLLU women's soccer program. Pictured with Backus is Assistant Coach Arthur Salazar.
Alisa BErnal
Alisa Bernal
She's coming to OLLU from the Classics Elite Soccer club and Taft High School in San Antonio. She is a midfielder/ forward and currently has three goals and two assists for Taft. Academically, Alisa has a strong grade point average and testing scores that earned her OLLU's Presidential Scholarship. Bernal, an outside midfielder, plans on majoring in education at OLLU. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Pals at Taft, which is located in the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio. She also plays on the varsity volleyball team at Taft.Pictured with Bernal is her mother, Sylvia; father Robert; and God sister Jessica Perez, along with OLLU Head Soccer Coach Shane Hurley and Assistant Soccer Coach Arthur Salazar.
Angela Cordova
She plays for Rio Vista FC in Albuquerque, N.M.. She has a 3.9 gpa and strong ACT scores that will help her be a candidate for the Providence Scholarship Program.
Breanna Estrada
She plays club soccer for the Classics Elite Premier League 92 team and is also a defender for Marshall High School in San Antonio. Estrada has earned all-district honors and boasts a 3.5 GPA. She received the Trustee Scholarship for her strong academic performance.
Cassie Lane
Cassie Lane of Victoria, Texas, has signed on to play for the Saints women's soccer team. Lane started playing soccer at an early age with the Cuero Soccer Association. She has played soccer throughout the years with several DI teams and she finished her club ball playing for Austin United Capitals. With the Caps she played sweeper and center defender. After her junior year at Cuero High she attended Victoria Memorial High School where she played on the varsity team. At Memorial she played forward and midfield scoring six goals during district. Her accomplishments during the past year include: All-District First-Team selection, All-Academic All-District and All-Academic All-State with the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches and Officials.

Jeannette Montes
Montes is a native of Del Rio, Texas. At Del Rio High School, she received honorable mention, all-academic, second-team and all-tournament honors as a defender on the soccer team. She was selected as co-defensive player of the year, and her team won back-to-back championships in district and placed third in the regional  tournament.  Montes plans to major in early childhood education at OLLU. Megan Ochoa
She has 102 goals and counting at McAllen High School. She has become the All-Time leading scorer at McAllen High School and has been honored by Valley newspapers as All-Valley Offensive MVP her sophomore year and All-Valley Forward her junior year. She was named to the 2008 TASCO All-Region team. Academically, Ochoa has a 3.4 grade point average and strong testing scores that earned her the OLLU's Trustee Academic Scholarship.
Maddie Reyes
She is a defender and plays her club soccer for Celtics SC in Harlingen, Texas. She also plays for Harlingen South High School. Reyes has received all-district honors as a sophomore and as a junior. She also got all-valley defensive player of the year as a sophomore and all-valley selection as a junior. Academically, she boasts a 3.1 grade point average and will be welcomed to OLLU with a Provost Scholarship.
Evelyn Robledo
She has played for two years at Cisco Junior College and currently attends Brookhaven College in Carrollton, Texas. At Cisco, she boasted a 3.6 gpa and was one of the leaders in assists and goals. Robledo is a midfielder and will be welcomed to OLLU as a junior transfer student. She is pictured with Assistant Soccer Coach Arthur Salazar, father Urbano Robledo, and friend Henry Hernandez. She is the recipient of academic scholarships at OLLU. 
Tori Vasquez
She plays her club soccer for the Classics Elite Premier League 92 team and is on the team at O'Connor High School in San Antonio. Currently, she is leading her high school team with seven goals and one assist. Vasquez annually has been a member of the 92 South Texas Olympic Development Team. Academically, Tori boasts a 3.68 GPA and is a recipient of OLLU's Presidential Scholarship.
