2010 Volleyball Signings

Jessica Chavez

Jessica Chavez from El Paso, Texas, has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Our Lady of the Lake University. Chavez attended Eastwood High School and played volleyball for the El Paso Sunspots.

Marquisha Matthews

Marquisha Matthews, a native of Seguin, Texas, played club volleyball during her junior year. While a senior at Seguin High School, she was selected to the All-State Team and All-District First Team. She also was named to the San Antonio Super Team.

Patricia Underwood

Patricia Underwood is a 6'1 right side/outside transfer from Plano, Texas. She currently attends Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, which recently won its second consecutive National Title for the NJCAA DIII.

Underwood had a hitting percentage of 46% throughout the 2009 NJCAA DIII National Championship in Rochester, Minn. She was ranked with one of the top hitting percentages and blocks in the nation throughout the season.

At Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, Underwood played on the varsity team from 2004-2008 in TAPPS 6A, won a state title in 2004, and regional and district titles in 2004-2006. She was named Second Team All-District in 2007 and Honorable Mention All-District in 2006.

She played for Victory Volleyball Club for three years where she swung from the left side and qualified for the National Junior Olympics in 2007.

Underwood graduated from Bishop Lynch High School in 2008 and is the daughter of Dennis and Toni Underwood from Plano, Texas. She is pictured below with her mother Toni and OLLU Volleyball Coach Mark Lee.
