SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 2, 2012) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) softball team will enter the 2012 season with higher expectations in its second year under head coach, James Kling.

After a transition period in which the players had to adapt to a new coach, Kling saw the end of last season as a positive time.  According to the second-year coach, the Saints began to click at the end of the season when they finished second in the Red River Athletic Conference and as a semifinalist in the conference tournament.

The team will look to improve from 2011's 26-20 overall record and 16-5 conference record. Kling expects better results as the team has had plenty of time to adapt to his coaching methods.

"The majority of the girls returned, and starting in the fall, we were able to pick up right where we left off last year," Kling said.
