COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS (Feb. 14, 2012) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) Bowling Team competed in the annual Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference tournament this past Tuesday. The Conference is governed by the United States Bowling Congress.


Bowling at OLLU is sanctioned by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as an emerging sport.

Results of the tournament for both the women and men on the OLLU Bowling Team are listed below.

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (April 7, 2011) -- Our Lady of the Lake University's Bowling Team and teams from other member schools of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) competed in the NAIA Invitational last weekend, April 1-3. Twenty-four men's teams and 23 women's teams traveled to Indianapolis for the competition that took place at Woodland Bowl.

SAN ANTONIO (March 28, 2011) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University Bowling Team will be competing in the first-ever National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Tournament along with the top 24 teams in the country.

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 12, 2011) -Our Lady of the Lake University's (OLLU) Bowling Team will host the annual Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference III tournament on Saturday, Jan. 15. The Conference, governed by the United States Bowling Congress), will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bandera Super Bowl located on Huebner Road.
 
Schools competing include University of Houston, Louisiana State University, Texas Tech University, West Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University, University of New Mexico, Southwestern Christian University, Sam Houston State University, North Texas State University and Our Lady of the Lake University.

‘Texas Tour' designed to promote emerging collegiate sport
 
SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 14, 2010) - Members of Our Lady of the Lake University's (OLLU) Bowling Team are hitting the road this winter break in an effort to promote this emerging collegiate sport, one enjoyed by 95 million people in more than 90 countries worldwide (Fit4FunFitness). The sport at OLLU is designated as an emerging sport under the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
   
The NAIA Champions of Character program aims to instill five core values in NAIA athletes, coaches: respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship. Our Lady of the Lake University shares and supports these values and strives to promote the Champions of Character program by working with students, coaches through our Champions of Character educational program.
