FORT WORTH (April 15-16, 2013) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's and women's track team participated in the 2013 Red River Athletic Conference Track Championships on April 15 and 16.

Coach Stephen Sherman said, "Overal this was a good exclamation point on the season. I am particularly proud of Erica (two school records), Laura (a personal record), and Nick (a school record). Every one of the athletes will be better off in the fall for cross country because of competing in track, and really that is one of the primary reasons we do track at OLLU. I feel confident about how we are set up for next year, and my expectations for the team will be higher than ever in 2013-2014."

SAN ANTONIO (March 1, 2013) -- Our Lady of Lake University's (OLLU) Erica Ramos is the first Saints cross-country/track student-athlete to join the "Saints Under-20 Club."

Yesterday, Ramos ran the 5K in 19:31:43 at the University of the Incarnate Word Cardinal Invitational.

Head Coach Stephen Sherman said, "Erica's race in the 5,000m yesterday was a huge milestone for herself and for our program. Her time beats her own school record by 33 seconds, her personal best by 29 seconds and is the first under 20:00 by any female runner at OLLU. She has been working extremely hard and that hard work is paying off. I could not be more proud of her for the way she has been taking care of business."

SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 23, 2013) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University track team ran its first meet this weekend at Trinity University.

Head Coach Stephen Sherman said, "The team all ran in the Rogue Distance Festival last week, but Trinity was our first actual outdoor track meet. Besides increasing the number of athletes we have doing track this year we are also already experiencing more success than we have before. Erica Ramos is particularly off to a great start to the season having upended school records in the 5,000m (20:05) last week and in the 1500m (5:21) this week. Others have established records in the men's 10,000m and the women's 400m and 800m. So far over all we are ahead of my expectations. We look forward to continuing our momentum at UIW's track meet next weekend."

SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 18, 2013) --  Bianca Renteria of Del Rio, Texas, has signed a letter of intent to run for the Our Lady of the Lake University women's cross-country team in 2013.

Head Coach Stephen Sherman said "Bianca is an athlete I have been in contact with for a while now, and I could not be more excited to add her to the 2013 cross-country/track team. She ran cross-country and track for Coach Ric Smith at Del Rio High School all four years of her high school career. Bianca has run personal bests in cross-country of 19:17 for three miles and 20:21 for five kilometers. Coach Smith has been doing it the right way in Del Rio for years, so I am hoping that Bianca can open the door to OLLU for future Del Rio Rams and Queens."
