
WACO, TEXAS (Nov. 13, 2012) -- The Red River Athletic Conference has announced this year's All-Conference Volleyball Team and postseason award winners as voted upon by the conference's coaches.
Our Lady of the Lake University's Christine Ruckman has been named Newcomer of the Year, and she received All-Conference First Team honors.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (Nov. 9, 2012) -- Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) volleyball team ended it season Friday afternoon after losing 1-3 to Texas Wesleyan University in the Red River Athletic Conference quarterfinals.
The Saints finish at 14-16 and 8-3 in the conference. Texas Wesleyan advanced to the semifinals, but lost to the University of Texas at Brownsville. Brownsville will face the University of St. Thomas in the finals that takes place on Nov. 10.
SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 8, 2012) -- Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) has received notice that Bryttany Willoughby has been named to the First Team of the Capital One Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team, presented by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Nominations for the awards are submitted by members of the association. News and Sports Information Officer Patty Constantin represents OLLU in the association.

AUSTIN and HOUSTON (Nov. 2-3, 2012) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's volleyball team ended its regular season with a win and a loss over the weekend. On Friday, the Saints beat Huston-Tillotson University 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-17) in Austin and on Saturday, the Saints fell to the University of St. Thomas 3-0 (25-25, 25-21, 25-15) in Houston.
The Saints have an 8-3 overall record and 14-17 in the Red River Athletic Conference.
SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 24, 2012) -- It was a night of celebrating for Our Lady of the Lake University's (OLLU) volleyball team. Seniors Christine Ruckman, Jordan Latham, Norma Fraga and Desirea Aguilar were honored for their accomplishments before the match began. Then the Saints hit the court to sweep the Lady Rams from Texas Wesleyan University 3-0.
The win moves the Saints to 7-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference and 12-13 overall, while Texas Wesleyan drops to 5-3 and 16-13 overall. OLLU, along with league-leader University of Texas at Brownsville, Wiley and St. Thomas have clinched a spot in the conference playoffs that take place Nov. 9 in Fort Worth. Conference tournament host, Texas Wesleyan, is still hoping to earn a spot with one more week left in the regular season.
