SAN ANTONIO (July 8, 2010) - Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) announced the appointment of William Russell "Rusty" Kennedy II as the head coach for the University's women's basketball team. His official start date is July 13. He will replace former Head Coach Daryl Vincent.

The Saints women's basketball team fell to no. 1 seed Langston University in the semi final round of the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament Friday. The final score was 90-72.

Krystal Manning was named to the 2009-2010 Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball All-Conference First Team, and Alisha Crump was named to the Second team.

The no. 5-seed Saints women's basketball team shocked no. 4-seed Jarvis Christian College Thursday afternoon with a 75-66 win in the Red River Athletic Conference Quarterfinals at Waxahachie High School.

Langston University will hold the top seed in the RRAC Women's Basketball Tournament on March 4-6 in Waxahachie, Texas. Our Lady of the Lake University holds the fifth seed and will play fourth-seed Jarvis Christian College on March 4 at 3 p.m.
