SHREVEPORT, LA. (Jan. 30, 2012) -- After a pressure-filled first half that gave the Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team an eight-point lead, the Louisiana State University – Shreveport (LSUS) Lady Pilots came back in the second half to win the game 85-71.
 

The loss drops the Lady Saints record to 11-4 in the Red River Athletic Conference and 16-5 overall, while league-leading LSUS improves to 14-1 in conference and 16-5 overall. Langston University, the No. 10th ranked team in the NAIA, is in second place with a 14-2 conference record and 20-2 overall. They are ½ a game behind LSUS, and OLLU is three games behind the lead. Texas Wesleyan University (10-4/15-5) is ½ a game behind the Saints.

MARSHALL, TEXAS (Jan. 28, 2012) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team fought hard but lost during the last seconds of the game against Wiley College. The 73-74 loss in Marshall, Texas, drops the Saints record to 11-3 in the Red River Athletic Conference and 16-4 overall, while Wiley improves to 8-5 in conference and 12-6 overall.

 

The Saints are now two games behind first-place LSU-Shreveport (13-1/15-5) and one game behind second-place Langston University (12-2/18-2). Wiley is in sixth place and four and a half games behind the lead.

HOBBS, N.M. (Jan. 23, 2012) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team completed its second victory over the Mustangs from the University of the Southwest Monday evening in Hobbs, N.M.  
 

Last night's 113-72 victory was one point different from the teams' first meeting on Saturday when the Saints beat Southwest 112-71 at home. The 113 points are the second most ever scored by the OLLU women's team – the most was 116 in 2009 against Southwest Adventist University.
 

The victory improves the Saints record to 11-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference and 16-3 overall, while Southwest drops to 1-12 in conference and 6-13 overall. OLLU is ½ game behind league-leader LSU-Shreveport (11-1/13-5) and tied with Langston University (11-2/17-2). Trailing in third place is Texas Wesleyan University (10-2/15-3).

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 23, 2012) -- Treshenia Solomon and Nikkia Davis posted double-doubles and led the Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team to a 112-71 win over the University of the Southwest on Saturday afternoon in Mabee Gymnasium.


The Saints improve to 10-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference and 15-3 overall, while Southwest drops to 1-11 in conference and 6-12 overall. The Lady Saints are one game behind league-leader Langston University (11-1/17-1) and ½ a game behind second-place LSU-Shreveport (10-1/12-5).

MUSKOGEE, OKLA. (Jan. 16, 2012) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team forced 25 turnovers and five players scored in double digits as the Saints beat Bacone College 95-74 in Muskogee, Okla.

 

The win improves the Saints record to 9-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) and 14-3 overall, while Bacone drops to 3-8 in conference and 6-9 overall. The Saints are two games behind league-leader Langston University (11-0/17-0). In second place is LSU-Shreveport (9-1/11-5).
