SAN ANTONIO (June 21, 2010) -- Our Lady of the Lake University's Aaron Flores finished in a tie for second place in the Greater San Antonio Men's Amateur Golf Championship this past weekend. Will Griffin, a senior at Texas Tech University, won the tournament for the fourth year in a row.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (June 4, 2010) - PING All-America selections for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Our Lady of the Lake University's Aaron Flores was selected to the third team. He was also selected to the PING All-Region Team -- Central Region.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 24, 2010) -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2010 Men's Golf All-America teams. Players are selected by the All-America Committee. Forty-five student-athletes earned the honor, including nine that were All-Americans in 2009.
 
Aaron Flores was selected to the NAIA All-America Second Team.

SILVIS, ILL. -- (May 21, 2010)  -- Saints' golfer Aaron Flores has been selected to the All-Freshmen Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. He joins Michael Palmer of Oklahoma City University, JB Eksteen of Lee University, Sam Holland of Victoria University and Lucas Morande of Hannibal-LaGrange University as this year's recipients. Palmer received the Phil Michelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Michelson Foundation as the most outstanding freshman in NAIA men's golf.

When men's golfer Aaron Flores heads out to Illinois on May 15, he will be only the second student-athlete in the history of Our Lady of the Lake University to compete in a national tournament. (Cross-Country's Miriam Vazquez went to nationals in the winter of 2009.)
 
Flores, a freshman communications major, took top medalist honors at the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Championship Tournament in April. Winning the tournament, also billed as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Qualifier, earned Flores an automatic bid to the 59th NAIA National Championship in Silvis, Ill. May 18-21.
