The Saints men's team competed against McMurry University last Friday in San Antonio. The Saints won one singles match and one doubles match, while McMurry came out on top on six singles matches and two doubles matches.

Our Lady of the Lake University competed in the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) Crusader Classic Feb. 5-6. Sophomore Santiago Padilla won the men's Flight 1 with a win over No. 1-seeded player from UMHB, Ramon Aguirre, 7-6, 6-2.
 
Aguirre played OLLU freshman Kuda Sengai in the semi-finals and won 7-5, 6-3. OLLU Tennis Coach Sal Castillo said, "Kudai played the best match of his collegiate career when he defeated No. 4-seed Alexander Reinsch of Southwestern University in the first round 7-6, 6-0.

The Saints men's tennis team completed the first round matches this afternoon. The Saints won five matches and lost four.

The Our Lady of the Lake University Saints men's tennis team competed in its first tournament on Friday in Houston, Texas, against Prairie View A&M University. The Saints lost 1-5 at Chancellors Racquet & Fitness.

The tennis and golf teams are shown here participating in a Champions of Character program.  The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) named 199 colleges and universities, including Our Lady of the Lake University, as Champions of Character (COC) institutions.
 
These institutions share the NAIA's commitment to high standards and to the principle that participation in athletics serves as an integral part of the total education process.
