TULSA, OKLA. (April 26, 2013) -- The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's tennis team recorded its first-ever post-season win when the Saints defeated John Brown University 5-2 in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Regional Tournament.  The Saints advanced to the semifinals round where they dropped five sets to Lewis & Clark State University.

The men's team also won its quarterfinals match 5-0 against Southwestern Christian University. The Saints then dropped five matches to Oklahoma Baptist University in the semifinals match.

Head Coach Sal Castillo said, "The women ended the season in our first-ever semifinal finish. They played the best tennis all season at regionals. The men also ended the season in the semifinals with a strong performance by everyone. I thought everyone came to play and gave it 100 percent. I was very happy that all the hard work the last few weeks paid off."

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (March 26, 2013) --
Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) Head Tennis Coach Sal Castillo, teamed with Wesley Cash, Chattanooga, Tenn., Peter Markes, Austin, Texas, and Mark Vines, Lynchburg, Va., to finish second in the Austria Cup competition held in Antalya, Turkey March 18-23, 2013.
 

The NAIA Champions of Character program aims to instill five core values in NAIA athletes, coaches: respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship. Our Lady of the Lake University shares and supports these values and strives to promote the Champions of Character program by working with students, coaches through our Champions of Character educational program.
