Three native Venezuelans are returning to this year's men's tennis team at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). Friends since the age of ten -- Luis Rovira, Juan Arteaga and Pedro Arteaga -- these athletes came to the United States to play tennis and for better opportunities. Even with contrasting personalities, they have one common goal this year: to win.

SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 15, 2011) Fourth-year Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) Tennis Coach Sal Castillo is optimistic about the men's team this year. Ten strong, competitive and diverse players make up this year's team, and they are what Castillo hopes will be enough for a successful season. "I think they're very capable of making it to nationals this year," he says.
Last year, the Saints earned third place in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Regional Tournament, beating out conference tournament host, Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU).
With a great team already practicing daily for hours out on the courts, it doesn't hurt to add on some hidden talent that may be around campus. The coach is always looking to try out some new possible team members. Tryouts are requested through Coach Castillo.
