SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 16, 2018) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) Saints baseball team lost a 3-game series to NCAA D2 St. Mary's University. The Saints dropped the first game 5-4 on Thursday, and went on to lose Friday's doubleheader 17-6 and 9-4.
OLLU is now 4-10, while St. Mary's improves to 6-3.
Head Coach Bryan Aughney commented, "Game one we played a really good game all around. We had our chances earlier in the game, but I was pleased with our performance. Game two, we let get away from us and didn't do a good job at cutting off their momentum. In the third game, we started off great, and let the middle innings get away a little bit. We have to do a better job of making in-game adjustments and playing a complete game. We are close, but have to continue to get better in all aspects of the game."
