WACO, TEXAS (March 24, 2021) -- Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Track and Field Athletes of the Week have been announced for the dates of March 15-21 with this week's honorees including Brianna Pantoja (SO/San Antonio, Texas) (women's track - Our Lady of the Lake University), Nathaniel Rodriguez (SO/San Antonio, Texas) (men's track - OLLU), and David Dada (SO/San Antonio, Texas) (men's field - OLLU). This is the second set of weekly track and field awards for the 2021 outdoor season.
Pantoja set new personal records in two sprints at the Wess Kittley Invitational in Abilene, Texas. The sophomore from San Antonio posted a time of 27.72 in the 200-Meter Dash to finish 39th in a field of 46. She also placed 13th in the 400-Meter Dash at 1:02.90.
Rodriguez finished in the top half of the field in two distance events in the Wess Kittley meet. The sophomore from San Antonio placed seventh in the 1,500-Meter Run and 13th in the 5,000-Meter Run with a personal best of 16:08.47. Both events were in a field of 28 runners.
Dada placed 11th in the High Jump in Abilene. The sophomore from San Antonio achieved a personal record of 1.8 meters.
