OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 31, 2021) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team is in 12th place out of 19 teams after two rounds at the Oklahoma City University (OKC) Ferguson Classic. The course has a par of 71 and is 6,518 yards.
OKC is first with a score of 542, followed by Southwestern Christian University at 552, New Mexico Junior College at 554, Western Texas College at 560, Morningside College at 565 and The Master's University at 572. Briar Cliff University, Doane University and Oklahoma City "B" team are tied for seventh place at 578. Northwestern College IA sits in 10th place at 580, followed by Southwestern Christian University at 581 and OLLU at 583. University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma is in 13th place at 585, followed by Sterling College at 587, Grand View University at 588, Kansas Wesleyan University at 593, Park University at 595, Sterling College at 599 and Baker University at 612.
Leading the way for the Saints is Massimo Garcia (JR/Laredo, Texas) who shot a first-round 71 and a second-round 72 for a score of 141 for 20th place. Sergio Garcia (JR/Kenedy, Texas) follows at 74/69=143, Oliver Gaisford (FR/Centerbury, U.K.) at 75/69=144, Diego Garcia Hernandez (SR/Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico) at 75/74=149, Raul Gonzalez (SO/McAllen, Texas) at 72/77=149 and Joshua Sturt (SR/Portsmouth, U.K.) at 79/81=160.
The final round will conclude this afternoon at the Lincoln Park Golf Club.
