SEGUIN, TEXAS (Sept. 21, 2021) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team completed the John Bohmann Memorial Invite sponsored by Texas Lutheran University at the Starcke Park Municipal Course.
Raul Gonzalez captured the individual title after shooting a six-under 207. He had a first-round 67, and second/third rounds of 70 to win his first collegiate tournament.
Head Coach Arnie Martinez commented, "It was a hot one out there. The guys did a good job preparing for the event, and we were happy to see a couple of our players play really well. Raul Gonzalez won the tournament and Massimo Garcia tied for second. I am very proud, not only of these two but of the whole team. This tournament shows how strong and deep our team is. These guys can do whatever they want on the course if they commit to the process of getting better. We still aren't firing on all cylinders, but we are seeing our work start to improve. We will continue to get better. Good to see us trending in the right direction. Go, Saints!"
