WINDCREST, TEXAS (Oct. 9, 2021) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's cross-country team placed third in the Sixth Annual OLLU Cross-Country Invitational this morning at the Windcrest Golf Club.
Texas A&M International University captured the 6k title with a time of 1:53.28, while Trinity was next at 2:02.41 and OLLU followed at 2:02:24. Fourth place went to St. Edward's University (2:03:47), followed by Texas A&M University – Kingsville (2:04.48), Texas Lutheran University (2:11.4), Schreiner University (2:20:06) and Huston-Tillotson University (2:49:19).
Nadia Sifuentes (JR/Brownsville, Texas) was the Saints' top finisher with a time of 22:35.5 for fifth place overall out of 55 runners. Her time is a new OLLU record. Jasmine Hernandez (FR/San Antonio, Texas) had a time of 23:41.2 for 11th place. Other finishers are as follows:
The Saints will get set to host the Red River Athletic Conference Championships next on Nov. 5 at the Windcrest Golf Club.
